Who I Am
As long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to film and storytelling.
In eighth grade, I was completely lost about where I wanted to go to high school in my hometown of Visalia, California. Then one night, I went to an event at the LJ Williams Theatre where each school showcased its academies. When the promo for the Media Arts Academy started playing, something just clicked. I remember sitting there and knowing, deep down, that I had discovered my passion.
From that moment forward, I knew I was stepping onto a path I was meant to be on. The Media Arts Program at El Diamante High School gave me a foundation and a sense of purpose. It taught me how to take ideas and turn them into stories that mean something. I owe a lot to that experience; it’s where my passion for filmmaking really began to take shape.
Now, I’m a senior at California State University, Chico, continuing to grow both as a creator and as a person. The years have flown by, but I’m grateful for every lesson, every late-night project, and every opportunity that’s led me here.
McLaren Media Co. is the next chapter of that journey, a way to share my love for storytelling with others through the art of filmmaking. My goal is simple: to create media that feels honest, intentional, and beautiful.
